Qatar Airways Q Suites

“Getting there is half the fun” is never more true than flying Qatar Q Suites. In my 24-hour flight from Philly - Doha - Singapore, my experience with Qatar was nothing short of fabulous. The service was unparalleled, the private cabin design was outstanding and the culinary experience was top-notch. I knew they had won best business class 10 times and that they had really new planes, but nothing prepared me for how much fun and restful a trip halfway around the world could be. Welcome aboard!

Q Suite seat design

The WOW factor of the Q suite is the sliding door that provides the ultimate privacy and comfort. The seats are arranged in a 1 - 2 - 1 configuration, so everyone has direct aisle access - and for those traveling as a duo, the interior seats have a retractable wall that opens up to create a truly massive space for two. For solo travelers, the peace and relaxation is just terrific. Highlights include pajamas, turndown service to transform the seat into a bed, tons of storage, all the entertainment options you’d ever want and food on demand. Here are some pics of my Q Suite

Food and Wine

The culinary delights of the Q Suites are exquisite. The menu is curated by world-class chefs, and their wine list features some superb offerings. The champagne was Billecart Salmon and Laurent Perrier, and for my meals, I had lobster thermador, which looked and tasted incredible, and Qatari chicken by a famous female chef. I had high tea and some fancy desserts and of course, a cheese plate and dessert wine. Each meal is accompanied by a small flickering, battery-operated lantern. Nice touch! Check out the menu options and all the good food.

Business Class Lounge - Hamad Airport Doha

The layover in Doha was a breeze -thanks to the spiffy new business-class lounges! The glass-enclosed airport has a modern vibe and lots of high-end shopping options. I headed straight for the lounge - where they have a ‘lounge within a lounge’ - the new (only 3 weeks old!) Louis Vuitton lounge, with coffee and sushi bar and glam seating. With thankfully short layovers (2 hours), I only had time for a double espresso and some people-watching. Then it was back on board for the 2nd leg of the trip.

Truly a world-class experience - thank you, Qatar Airways!

I can’t say enough good things about Qatar Airways - everything was truly excellent, from the check-in process, boarding, and my time on the plane to the lounges at Hamad Airport in Doha. Nothing lets you maximize your vacation more than to arrive well-rested!
